New Tenants / Moving In

TENANT MOVE-IN-CHECKLIST

  • Complete and return the Tenant Contact Information Form to the Management Office.
  • Provide Tenant’s Certificate of Insurance per the “Certificate of Insurance Requirements” stated within your lease.
  • Email PDF version of Certificate to Management Office.
  • Obtain a Certificate of Occupancy from the County (if applicable in your jurisdiction) and email a copy to Penzance.
  • Email PDF version of certificate to Management Office.
  • Order Telephone and Internet Services for your new office. The provider you choose is at your discretion and must already be a provider in the building. Please contact the management office for a list of current service providers in the building. Should your phone and/or internet provider need to access your new suite before you occupy, please notify the Management Office at least 24-hours in advance.
  • Notify the Post Office of Your New Move Date and New Address. You can locate the post office that services your area by going to the following website: www.usps.com.
  • Inform all your customers, clients, associates, etc., with your change of address as well as phone numbers (if applicable). Be sure to update your email signatures as well.
  • Contact Your Local Utility Companies to have accounts put into your business name (if applicable).
  • Sign up for the Tenant Center - This is a simple way to input work tickets into our system and have our engineers attend to your maintenance needs pursuant to your Lease. Helpful information can be found here. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Management Office.
  • Complete Move-In Inspection Prior to Occupancy - Perform a thorough inspection of your suite with the Property Manager to document the condition of the space before moving in.
  • Complete Post-Move Inspection After Movers Have Completed Your Move in - Perform a thorough inspection of your suite and common areas of the building with the Property Manager to document any damage that occurred as a resulting of your move in. If damage has been identified, you will be required to submit a claim with your mover’s insurance carrier.
